Friends of Eric Flint and 1632,

Thank you for bearing with me during this difficult time. As some of you know already, I have filed for personal bankruptcy under Chapter 13. Out of an abundance of caution, those of you who are creditors of 1632, Inc. received a notice of the bankruptcy proceeding. However, my bankruptcy attorney does not believe that these claims are properly part of my personal bankruptcy.

Going forward, we are planning on filing, most likely in January, a petition for business bankruptcy of 1632, Inc., under Chapter 7 (liquidation). When that happens all of the 1632, Inc. authors with royalties due that we are aware of will receive notices of that proceeding and have the opportunity to file proof of claim therein. That proceeding will also address the applicable contracts and be the vehicle for extinguishing the exclusive and non-exclusive licenses to 1632, Inc., i.e., reverting rights to the authors.
